2008 Tannerie Wood Block Party

Held Saturday, October 11, 2008

On Saturday, October 11, 2008, we held our Fifth Annual Tannerie Wood Block Party.  A fun time was had by all, even though turnout was lower than in prior years.  The lower turnout was mostly because we had to reschedule the party on short notice because the originally scheduled date was a rainout.  Fortunately, October 11 was a beautiful sunny day.

The kids were wonderfully entertained by JellyBean the Clown, who was a marvel in balloonery.

Thanks to all who helped make the party a success.  Particular thanks go to:  Tom Garvey, who donated the hotdogs and hamburgers; Chris Port, her son Bryan, and his friend Steve, who did a wonderful job setting up, grilling, and cleaning up (the food was delicious!); Bernice Marinucci and Dane Bernard for loaning us their grills; and Nancy Bunch, who helped organize and shop.

We donated the leftover frozen food to the Ambler Rest Home, and they were extremely grateful.
