2006 Tannerie Wood Block Party

Held Wednesday, August 23, 2006

On Wednesday, August 23, we held our Third Annual Tannerie Wood Block Party.  With grills fired up, dinner and dessert set out, and Honey Run Road cordoned off between Van Buren and Monroe, the party got rolling at 6:00pm, as planned.  Skeeter the Clown made his traditional appearance, entertaining all the kids, both young and old.  It was a great opportunity for everyone to briefly step away from their busy schedules to meet and mingle with their Tannerie Wood neighbors.  A fun time was had by all!

Thanks to all who helped make the party a success.  In particular:  Kudos once again to Nancy Bunch, our Recording Secretary, for organizing the party and buying the drinks, chips and other items contributed by the Association.  A big thanks goes to Tom Garvey for donating the hamburgers and hotdogs!  And thanks to all who brought salads and desserts, to those who contributed tables, etc., and to Larry Keeley and Dane Bernard, who kindly lent their gas grills.  Dane Bernard and Fred Rosen were our master chefs, relieved by the multi-talented Nancy Bunch.  (Another big thanks!  The food was delicious!)  Carole Witt arranged the visit by Skeeter the Clown, who was, as ever, a big hit.
